The COLORADO OSTEOPATHIC EDUCATION CENTER (COEC)
is a branch (and dba) of the Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine (CSOM).
Established in 1999, COEC develops and oversees preceptor-based clinical
rotations in Colorado for third and fourth-year medical students from affiliated
colleges of osteopathic medicine ensuring a quality educational experience for
students, preceptors, the colleges and the profession.
The COEC Leadership Committee is comprised of seven osteopathic physicians who are dedicated to
teaching and education and willing to mentor the students throughout their
clinical years. The board members also serve as preceptors and several teach the
didactic programs as well. Additionally, each College has also appointed an
on-site regional dean or director. They are:
